09 May 2018 – Philippine Ambassador to Canada Petronila P. Garcia met with Member of Parliament Chandra Arya earlier today at his constituency office in Ottawa to discuss greater cooperation between the MP’s office and members of the Filipino community.

MP Arya informed Ambassador Garcia that his constituency of Nepean is home to around 4,000 Filipinos, a significant percentage of the area’s population, and expressed his readiness to provide information and assistance to the different Filipino community organizations regarding different federal programs that are available to them.

Ambassador Garcia was accompanied at the meeting by First Secretary and Consul Eric R. Aquino. END
