 10 April 2018, Ottawa – The Philippines joined other countries from around the world as they gathered for Algonquin College’s annual Celebration of Cultures today. Now on its 23rd year, the event brings together the different diplomatic missions in Ottawa to showcase their countries and culture.

The Embassy of the Philippines in Canada set up a display on Philippine tourist destinations, handicrafts, and textiles and treated visitors to samples of pancit bihon (rice noodles with chicken and vegetables) and maja blanca (coconut pudding). “It’s More Fun in the Philippines” shirts, bags, maps, brochures, and other giveaways were also distributed to the public.
