24 March 2018, Montreal – Pursuant to its Cultural and Economic Diplomacy Programs and its mandate to deliver consular services to Filipinos overseas, the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa, Ontario dispatched its personnel to conduct cultural and tourism promotions and consular outreach services in Montreal from 23 to 24 March 2018.
Members of the team included First Secretary and Consul Greg Marie Mariño, Third Secretary and Vice-Consul Siegfred Masangkay, and Consular Assistants Noel Sancon, Teresa Benitez-Bragais, Rosalie Gonsalves, and Alvin Conchas III. Mr. Roberto Roldan, representative of the Philippine Social Security System (SSS) in Canada, also joined the team.
The two-day event featured briefings on the Embassy’s cultural programs for the Filipino community, the promotion of premier Philippine tourist destinations, and distribution of tourism materials to the audience. More than two hundred fifty Filipinos also availed themselves of passport, notarial, and other consular services. END.
