13 February 2018, Ottawa - The Montreal Borough of Cote-de-Neiges-Notre-Dame-De-Grace unanimously declared June as Philippine Heritage Month in its meeting yesterday. The motion to declare June as Philippine Heritage Month was tabled by City Councillor Marvin Rotrand and seconded by City Councillor Lionel Perez.

Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. Francisco Noel Fernandez III of the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa represented Ambassador Petronila P. Garcia and joined leaders of the Filipino organizations in the borough in lending support to this motion by attending the Borough Council meeting.
