05 February 2018, Montreal - The Aklan Association of Montreal (AMM) celebrated its 15th Ati-Atiihan Festival last Saturday, 5 February 2018. The festivity was attended by leaders of various Filipino organizations in Montreal. Similar to the original Ati-Atihan celebration in Kalibo, the attendees went around the Social Hall of St. Kevin’s Church in Montreal led by the AMM band as they danced in the Ati-Atihan fashion despite the winter storm outside.

During the same occasion, the new members of the Board of Directors of AMM led by Rev. Fr. Artemio Calaycay were inducted into office by Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. Francisco Noel R. Fernandez III, whose family hails from Numancia, Aklan.
