Ambassador Garcia meets MP Kevin Lamoureux, Co-Chair of Canada-Philippines Parliamentary Friendship Group, with DCM Fernandez.

 Ambassador Petronila P. Garcia met with Mr Kevin Lamoureux, Member of the House of Commons of Canada's federal parliament and Co-Chair of the Philippines-Canada Parliamentary Friendship Group They discussed the future activities of the Friendship Group and agreed to cooperate in promoting the bilateral relationship between the Philippines and Canada.

Acknowledging the contribution of the late Senator Tobias Enverga, Jr. to Philippine-Canada relations, Mr. Lamoureux expressed the hope to continue the traditional Independence Day celebration hosted in Parliament Hill by the late Senator Enverga.

Ambassador Garcia was accompanied by Deputy Chief of Mission Francisco Noel Fernandez III in the meeting.
