Ottawa, 11 May 2017 - Captain Ferdinand Paolo S. Quiocho is the latest AFP officer to graduate from the Language Teacher Training Course of the Military Training and Cooperation Program (MTCP) of the Canadian Armed Forces. Captain Quiocho, a member of the Philippine Military Academy Class of 2011, joined 14 military officers from other countries during the graduation ceremony held on 11 May 2017 at the Canadian Forces Language School located in Gatineau, Quebec.
Like his predecessor, Major Darwin LaGuardia, who graduated in the previous class last December, 2016, Captain Quiocho delivered the response on behalf of the graduating class. Third Secretary Anthony Aguirre of the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa attended the ceremony.
Ambassador Petronila P. Garcia welcomed Captain Quiocho at the Embassy after the graduation. She remarked that the principles and idealism of Captain Quiocho would be a positive influence to the armed forces as he returns to assume new responsibilities in Manila.
