4 April 2017, Ottawa – The Philippine Embassy in Ottawa joined other members of the diplomatic corps at Algonquin College during the school’s 22nd Annual Celebration of Cultures. The event featured traditional cuisine, art, handicrafts, tourism, and music and dance performances of the different countries represented in Ottawa.

Those who visited the Philippines’ booth also availed themselves of free samples of Filipino pancit bihon (rice noodles with chicken and vegetables), biko (sticky rice with coconut milk and brown sugar) and maja blanca (coconut pudding). Visitors also received brochures on tourist spots in the Philippines while others talked to Embassy representatives about Filipino history, culture, and geography. END
