26 August 2016, Ottawa - The Philippine Embassy in Ottawa, ON, Canada joined other Southeast Asian Missions in celebrating the 49th founding anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) during the ASEAN Picnic 2016 held at the Vincent Massey Park. The half-day event brought together members of the diplomatic missions of Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand and Viet Nam, representatives from Global Affairs Canada and Canadian partner organizations, as well as their families and friends, for an afternoon of games and snacks, highlighting the enduring mission of ASEAN to foster “One Vision, One Identity, One Community.”
