PR 83 2024 Tianggehan 2024

15 June 2024, Montreal – As part of the Philippine Independence Day and Filipino Heritage Month celebrations, the Filipino Heritage Society of Montreal mounted a one-day Filipino pop-up market, dubbed Tianggehan 2024, at St. Kevin’s Church in Montreal on 15 June 2024.

The Philippine Embassy, represented by Minister and Consul General Rea Oreta, commended the community for highlighting Filipino heritage and businesses through the colorful booths and stalls featuring Filipino food, handicraft, art and textiles. Stunning performances were delivered by Filipino-Canadian talents in song, dance and cello. The hustle and bustle of the Tianggehan 2024 created a unique experience of the thriving retail scene in the Philippines.

Registration for overseas voting was also conducted by the Philippine Embassy in preparation for the national elections next year. END
