"To have a citizen of Filipino heritage sitting in the Senate of Canada is a proud moment for all of us. It is a significant recognition of all Filipinos in this great country," Senator Enverga told Ambassador Gatan. "Among my advocacies would be issues affecting Filipino communities in Canada," the Senator added.

For his part, Ambassador Gatan expressed confidence that the Philippines will find in Senator Enverga "a vocal champion of Philippines-Canada partnership in all aspects of bilateral relations." END
