13 December 2023, Ottawa - The Philippine Embassy in Ottawa dispatched a team to Hamilton in the British Overseas Territory of Bermuda for a consular outreach mission on 9-10 December 2023. It is the last consular outreach of the Embassy for the year.

A total of 132 services were rendered, which includes passport application, legalization, civil registry and dual citizenship applications. Of the 132 services, a total of 42 passport applications were processed.

There were also four (4) qualified individuals who took their oath of allegiance under the Citizenship Retention and Reacquisition Act of 2003 or more commonly known as the Dual Citizenship Law (R.A. 9225).

The team also joined the Christmas Party of the Association of Filipinos in Bermuda.

The Philippine Embassy in Ottawa holds consular jurisdiction over Bermuda, which is home to almost 2,000 Filipinos.

The consular outreach mission is part of the Embassy’s efforts to bring its services closer to Filipinos outside of Ottawa. END
