11 December 2023, Ottawa - The Embassy of the Philippines in Canada participated in Global Affairs Canada’s (GAC) International Food Fair and Virtual Charitable Auction, together with other diplomatic missions in Ottawa, on Tuesday, 7 December 2023, held at the GAC building on Sussex Drive.

The diplomatic missions represented in Ottawa set up their respective booths for the annual event and shared the culture and cuisine from their home countries to around 300 GAC employees. The event featured a wide range of cuisine from Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Americas. This year, the Philippines showcased Filipino sponge cake torta, chicken pancit, and empanadas, and donated Ube Cream Liqueur by Destileria Barako, for the virtual auction.

The International Food Fair is a signature event of the GAC and was organized in support of the Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign. END.
