25 September 2023 – The Philippine Embassy in Canada held its first “Manila Comes to Town” on 23 September 2023 at the grounds of Notre-Dame-des-Philippines 8500 Boul. Saint-Laurent, Montreal QC.

Montreal-based Sampa and OCHA Canada participated in the event presenting Filipino chicken and pork barbeque and Filipino-inspired bubble tea (Ube latte and Cantaloupe ice candy), respectively. Quezon Apparel also joined the event selling Filipino cultural items and filipiniana/barong.

Ambassador Maria Andrelita Austria thanked those who supported the event.

The “Manila Comes to Town” is a joint project of the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa and the Philippine Consulates General in Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto. The Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver spearheaded the project. END
