12 May 2012 - Ambassador and Mrs. Leslie B. Gatan treated world-famous artists to renowned Filipino hospitality at Tahanang Rizal, the Ambassador's official residence, in Ottawa on 12 May 2012.

Among the Ambassador's guests were Alain Boublil Lea Salonga, Marie Zamora, Kathy Voytko and Shelly Fuerte who were in town for the dream concert Do You Hear the People Sing at the National Arts Center from 10 to 12 May 2012.

After a sumptuous Filipino brunch, Ambassador Gatan gifted Mr. Boublil with Dr. Jose Rizal's masterpieces, the Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo, in keeping with the Embassy's cultural diplomacy. END
