Philippine Ambassador to Canada Rodolfo D. Robles (2L, second row) welcomes participants to the Consular Consultation of Philippine Posts in Canada held virtually on 28 November 2021 graced by the participation of Assistant Secretary Ed Menez (rightmost, third row), Assistant Secretary Paul Raymund Cortes (2L, bottom row), and Assistant Secretary Senen Mangalili (left most, bottom row) from the Department of Foreign Affairs.
29 November 2021 – The annual Consular Consultation of Philippine Posts in Canada (PPC) was held virtually on 28 November 2021 to discuss current consular policies and explore ways to address challenges in the efficient provision of these services to Filipinos in Canada. Ambassador Rodolfo D. Robles hosted the annual gathering. Senior officials from the Department of Foreign Affairs were joined by officials from the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO), Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO), and Social Security System to serve as resource speakers.
The participants received updates on travel restrictions resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, information on forthcoming projects to improve consular and assistance-to-nationals services, and programs to engage the Filipino diaspora across Canada.
PPC is composed of the Philippine Embassy in Canada and the Consulates General in Vancouver, Calgary, and Toronto.
