3 November 2021 – Ambassador Rodolfo D. Robles hosted a Town Hall Meeting in Halifax, Nova Scotia on Saturday, 30 October 2021, with leaders of Filipino community organizations in the province and the adjoining province of New Brunswick.
Ambassador Robles lauded the Filipino diaspora in the Maritime provinces of Canada, as represented by officials of their organizations, for their contributions to their adopted communities, particularly those employed as frontline workers during the pandemic. He enlisted their support for his advocacy on the recognition of the academic and professional credentials of Filipino healthcare workers.
The Town Hall Meeting included briefings on travel restrictions to the Philippines by First Secretary and Consul Jeffrey Salik and updates on the cultural programs of the Philippine Embassy by First Secretary and Consul Greg Marie Mariño.
