29 September 2021 – Following the easing of pandemic-related restrictions in the Atlantic provinces, the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa resumed providing in-person consular services to the region with a consular outreach mission held in Moncton, New Brunswick from 23 to 27 September 2021. The last consular outreach mission to the Atlantic region was to Halifax in September, 2020.
In compliance with local health regulations, only fully vaccinated applicants were allowed inside the indoor venue. Filipinos were likewise able to register as overseas voters for the 2022 national election.
At the outreach mission, Ambassador Rodolfo D. Robles administered the Oath of Allegiance to former Filipino citizens who applied for the retention or reacquisition of their Filipino citizenship.
