Ambassador Rodolfo D. Robles provided an update on the status of COVID-19 vaccinations in Canada in this morning’s press briefing hosted by Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque.
In his remarks, Ambassador Robles shared that Canada is expected to enjoy a surplus of approximately 100 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines at the end of the year when qualified Canadians would have already received their full vaccination. He informed that the Philippine Government had indicated to the Canadian Government the former’s interest to access this anticipated excess supply of COVID-19 vaccines. He further disclosed his current effort to invite a Canadian pharmaceutical company to establish its regional COVID-19 vaccine manufacturing facility in the Philippines.
