Upon the invitation of Ambassador Rodolfo D. Robles, Emergency Operations Director Brent Robson of Global Affairs Canada shared with Filipino diplomatic and consular officials Canada’s experiences in providing consular assistance to Canadians overseas in times of disaster.

The virtual meeting was participated in by officials from the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa and the Philippine Consulates General in Vancouver, Calgary, and Toronto. Officials from the Philippine Overseas Labor Offices in Vancouver and Toronto and the Philippine Consulates General in Winnipeg and Halifax were likewise in attendance. Assistant Secretary Enrico Fos from the Office of Migrant Workers Affairs of the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs joined the meeting from Manila.
