Bermuda Police Commissioner Stephen Corbishley received Deputy Chief of Mission Francisco Noel Fernandez III of the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa at the former’s office in Hamilton, Bermuda on 2 March 2020. During their meeting, Corbishley provided an update on the peace and order situation in the island and expressed optimism on the positive role of Filipinos in Bermuda who have kept their distance from criminal activities.
There are approximately 1,121 Filipinos in Bermuda, representing 1.75% of the island’s population of approximately 63,779.
The Philippine Embassy in Ottawa headed by Ambassador Petronila P. Garcia undertakes regular consular outreach missions to Bermuda in order to provide passport and other consular services to Filipinos residing or working in the island.
