30 July 2019 – The Philippine Embassy in Ottawa conducted its first consular outreach mission for 2019 in Saskatchewan on 25-29 July 2019, to provide consular services to Filipinos in the cities of Regina and Saskatoon, and outlying areas.
A total of 1,093 consular services were processed during the mission. The oath-taking of Filipinos who reacquired Filipino citizenship was also held at the two cities.
Ambassador Petronila P. Garcia headed the team that was composed of Minister and Consul General Alan Deniega, Noel E. Sancon, Rosalie V. Gonsalves, Alvin L. Conchas III, Rodel B. Bendicio, Josephine Gonato, and Rachel Grace Caldito. SSS Representative Rhea Balicas-Biggs from Calgary also joined the embassy team.
Ambassador Garcia also briefed the community about the upcoming Winter Escapade in the Philippines.
The Embassy plans to return to Saskatchewan in September. – END
