Philippine delegation to the Global Conference on the Regulation of International Recruitment held in Montreal from 6 to 7 June 2019.

A delegation from the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa and the Philippine Overseas Labor Offices (POLOs) in Vancouver and Toronto participated in the Global Conference on the Regulation of International Recruitment organized by the International Organization for Migration in Montreal from 6 to 7 June 2019.

 The Philippine delegation was led by Deputy Chief of Mission Francisco Noel Fernandez III and composed of First Secretary Eric R. Aquino, Labor Representative Margarita Eugenia Victorina from POLO Vancouver, Labor Representative Rachel Zozobrado-Nagayo from POLO Toronto, Welfare Officer Lila De Guzman from POLO Vancouver, and Attaché Aisha M. Turingan.

The Conference was briefed on the safety nets created by the Philippine government through the four phases of the migration cycle involving Filipinos seeking overseas employment covering pre-deployment, protection of nationals in situ, engagement with the Filipino diaspora, and reintegration of returning Filipinos.
