DCM Fernandez joins P/SSupt. Joselito Salido and Cebu Pacific Director Allan Soria at the 2nd ICAO Global Aviation Security Symposium in Montreal.

 A Philippine delegation composed of Deputy Chief of Mission Francisco Noel R. Fernandez III, P/SSuperintendent Joselito F. Salido of the PNP Aviation Security Group, and Director Allan Soria of Cebu Pacific Air, participated in the 2nd Global Aviation Security Symposium held at the International Civil Aviation Organization’s Headquarters in Montreal from 27 to 28 November 2018.

The symposium updated aviation stakeholders on the importance of ensuring the security of aviation infrastructure and the emerging threats to the aviation sector. P/SSuperintendent Salido represented the PNP Aviation Security Group while Director Soria is responsible for security matters of Cebu Pacific Air, one of the Philippine flag carriers in civil aviation.

The Philippines recently underwent an audit under the ICAO’s Universal Security Audit Programme – Continuous Monitoring Approach (USAP-CMA) last May, 2018.
