Ambassador Garcia welcomes the resource speakers and participants to the seminar.

The Philippine Embassy in Ottawa, led by Ambassador Petronila P. Garcia, organized a seminar on accreditation, immunities, and other protocol practices for representatives of Philippine foreign service posts in Canada. Invited as resource speakers were senior officials of the Protocol Department of Global Affairs Canada led by Deputy Director Stephane Henry and lawyer Russel MacCrimmon of Bird Richard law firm.

The seminar was the first conducted by Global Affairs Canada for a resident diplomatic mission in Ottawa. The participants are responsible for handling administrative matters at their respective posts of assignment.

Participants to the accreditation and immunities seminar represented the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa and the Philippine Consulates General in Calgary, Vancouver, and Toronto.
