13 October 2018, Windsor, Ontario – Philippine Ambassador to Canada Petronila P. Garcia attended, as Guest of Honor, in the 25th Anniversary celebration of the Filipino Community Center Incorporated in Windsor-Essex County in Ontario. The celebration was highlighted by a dinner and gala event with the theme “Throwback Music of All Time.”
In her message, Ambassador Garcia conveyed the Philippine Embassy’s felicitations to the organization on the occasion of its silver anniversary. She enjoined the Filipino Community Center to continue working with the Embassy and the entire Filipino community in Windsor-Essex County in sharing the best of Filipino cultural heritage in the region.
Ambassador Garcia also took the opportunity to promote the 6th Winter Escapade – It’s More Fun in the Philippines (WE6-IMFIT) which primarily showcase the Philippines as a tourist destination for Filipino immigrants and Canadians as well. On its sixth season, the tour has become the premier vehicle for Canadian snowbirds who wish to escape to the cystal-clear waters and warm climate of the Philippines, Ambassador Garcia said. –end–
