ASEAN PICNIC

 20 August 2018, Ottawa. The officers and staff of the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa, including their respective family members, participated in the ASEAN Picnic 2018 held at Vincent Massey Park, Ottawa on 18 August 2018. As the Chair of the ASEAN Committee in Ottawa (ACO), the Brunei High Commission spearheaded the preparation for the Picnic.

Aside from the officers and staff of ACO Missions and their respective family members, officials from Global Affairs Canada participated in the activities and joined the games.

First Secretary Jeffrey Salik was part of the team that won the first prize for the “Amazing Race” while Thailand won the tug-of-war, the highlight of the games.

The ACO is composed of the 7 ASEAN member states with diplomatic missions in Ottawa, namely: Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, and Viet Nam. END
