30 May 2018, Ottawa – In an intimate gathering for aspiring concert pianists and classical music enthusiasts in the Ottawa – Gatineau area, the Philippine Embassy in Canada’s Sentro Rizal Ottawa hosted a Masterclass on Wednesday, 30 May 2018, conducted by Dr. Raul Sunico, former President of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) and one of the Philippines’ premier concert pianists.

The audience listened in rapt silence as three advance piano students from Ottawa Pianos Music School and the Conservatory of Music of Gatineau played their pieces for Dr. Sunico who, in turn, provided feedback on their performance.

This is the first Masterclass conducted by Dr. Sunico in Ottawa. He is scheduled to perform in a concert at the Sir John A. MacDonald Building later during the week, where he will be joined by the Ottawa Chamber Orchestra.
