In celebration of the 75th anniversary of Philippines-Canada diplomatic relations and the Philippine Film Industry Month, the Philippine Embassy in Canada, in cooperation with the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), brings you the Filipino Film Caravan on Friday, 6 September 2024.
The film caravan will feature three Filipino movies of various genres to be shown at the Mindanao Hall, 3F, of the chancery building of the Philippine Embassy (30 Murray Street Ottawa ON K1N 5M4).
Everyone is invited to watch three (3) critically acclaimed Filipino films (with English subtitles)

Synopsis: The film follows the story of Teresa who, after spending sixty years of her life as a nanny to a middle-class family, faces an uncertain future after the family matriarch dies. Her grown-up children fly in from abroad and must decide Teresa’s fate as they move on with their lives.
OPPA-WIKAN (15 MINUTES)
Director: Tracy Nicolette Tang and Hanz Florentino
Synopsis: Forced into an island life, not of his own making, Josh, a Korean-Filipino, dreams of returning home to South Korea to be with his estranged father. Despite having the help of his best friends and favorite uncle, Josh has to come to terms with his mother, his identity, and realizing that home is what he makes of it.
