PR 109 2024 2 Paaralan sa Pasuguan 27 28 August 2024 2nd Day Session

Meet one of our guest facilitators on the second day of the Embassy’s summer camp, Ms. Denise Orosa. She is an award-winning educator and the co-author of Once Upon the Sun and Sea. Born and raised in the Philippines, she has worked with children for over 20 years as a teacher, artist and storyteller. Denise believes in the important role storytelling plays in preserving and sharing human truth, culture, and identity.

As part of this year’s celebration of Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa 2024, join us as we  explore Filipino cultural heritage by diving into Indigenous stories from the Philippines! Listen to selected stories from Once Upon the Sun and Sea—a collection of Indigenous stories and folk tales adapted in English for children—told live by Denise Orosa herself. Learn about deities, native plants and animals, and cultural traditions, and participate in a creative art activity!

Session participants who wish to obtain their personal signed copy of the book may check the official website of Once Upon the Sun and Sea through onceuponthesunandsea.com

NOTE: This event is exclusively for confirmed participants of the Paaralan sa Pasuguan.
