Under the provisions of Resolution No. 160-B of the Philippine Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) issued on 3 February 2022, effective 10 February 2022, foreign citizens traveling to the Philippines for business and/or tourism may enter the Philippines without visas, under the following conditions:
- They qualify as former Filipino citizens with Balikbayan privilege under Republic Act No. 9174, including their spouse and/or children who are not balikbayans in their own right and are traveling with them to the Philippines; provided they are not restricted nationals; OR
They are citizens of countries entitled to a stay not exceeding 30 days under Executive Order 408, S. 1960, as amended;
- They are fully vaccinated, except only for minor children below 12 years of age traveling with their fully vaccinated foreign parent/s;
- They carry/possess any of the following proofs of vaccination:
- World Health Organization (WHO) International Certificates of Vaccination and Prophylaxis;
- VaxCertPH; or
- National/state digital certificate of the foreign government which has accepted VaxCertPH under a reciprocal agreement;
- They present a negative RT-PCR test taken within 48 hours prior to the date and time of departure from the country of origin/first port of embarkation in a continuous travel to the Philippines, excluding layovers; provided, that the traveler has not left the airport premises or has not been admitted into another country during such layover;
- They have valid tickets for their return journey to their port of origin or next port of destination not later than 30 days from their date of arrival in the Philippines;
- They have passports valid for a period of at least 6 months from the date of their arrival in the Philippines; AND
- They obtain, prior to arrival, travel insurance from reputed insurers for COVID-19 treatment costs, with a minimum coverage of US$ 35,000 for the duration of their stay in the Philippines.
