Bermuda Police Commissioner Stephen Corbishley received Deputy Chief of Mission Francisco Noel Fernandez III of the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa at the former’s office in Hamilton, Bermuda on 2 March 2020. During their meeting, Corbishley provided an update on the peace and order situation in the island and expressed optimism on the positive role of Filipinos in Bermuda who have kept their distance from criminal activities.

27 February 2020, Parliament Hill, Ottawa – Upon the invitation of Mr. Kevin Lamoureux, Member of Parliament, Ambassador Petronila P. Garcia attended and addressed a meeting of the Canada-Philippines Interparliamentary Friendship Group at Parliament Hill on 27 February 2020. MP Kevin Lamoureux, who remains actively engaged in the Embassy’s activities, is also currently the Parliamentary Secretary to the President of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada and to the Leader of the Government in the House of Commons.
In addressing the group, she expressed appreciation for the invitation extended to her. The Ambassador underscored the excellent bilateral relations between the Philippines and Canada and emphasized the importance of strengthening institutional linkages through constant dialogues and engagements with the Embassy and their counterparts in the Philippines as well. -END-

The Embassy’s consular section in Ottawa will be open on the following date for our monthly Saturday consular service:

In view of space limitations in the consular area, please note that we will use an appointment system for regular passport renewals for the period 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Please use the following link to book your appointment:

NOTE: If you are unable to book a passport appointment using this system, please come to the embassy after 12:00 PM. Passport renewals after that time will be processed on a first-come first-served (walk-in) basis.
Persons with disabilities, senior citizens (persons 60 years old and above), pregnant women, children below 7 years old, and their immediate family members do not need to book for appointment. They will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
For all other consular documents, such as notarials, NBI clearance, and civil registration, we will continue with the first-come first-served (walk-in) system, starting at 10am. Before visiting the Embassy, please ensure that you bring complete requirements for the procedure you require. 23 February 2020, Ottawa – The Embassy of the Philippines in Canada joined more than two hundred participants for the Pinoys on Parliament 2020 (POP 2020) conference held from 21 to 23 February 2020 in Canada’s capital. The event, organized by a local organization of the same name, brought together Canadian youth of Filipino descent and leaders in government, business, sciences, culture, and the arts for a weekend of mentorship and discussion on issues affecting Filipino-Canadian youth.
