PHILIPPINE NATIONAL ELECTIONS 2025

Registered Filipino overseas voters (in Posts/Countries adopting online voting) may vote online in the May 12, 2025 elections.

To participate, you must be pre-enrolled as an online voter. Pre-enrolment for online voting via the COMELEC Voting Portal is from March 10 to May 7, 2025.

The 30-day overseas voting period is from 13 April 2025 until 12 May 2025, at 7:00PM Philippine Standard Time.

16 March 2020, Ottawa – Ambassador Petronila P. Garcia attended the opening night performance of Mansfield Park at the Macmillan Theater in Toronto on 12 March 2020. Ms. Renee Fajardo, a Filipino Opera Singer and a student of Opera from the University of Toronto, played the lead role.

Ambassador Garcia noted that her performance would bring pride to Filipinos in Canada not only because of her key role in the performance but also because she was the lone Filipino singer in the show, and in the Opera program of the said university. —END—

13 March 2020, Ottawa – Ambassador Petronila P. Garcia attended the luncheon in honor of Women Heads of Missions in Ottawa hosted by Governor General Julie Payette held on 11 March 2020 at Rideau Hall. The luncheon coincides with the worldwide and month-long celebration of Women’s Month for calendar year 2020.

Before being invested as Canada’s 29^th Governor General in October 2017, and consequently Head of State, Governor General Julie Payette was an engineer, scientific broadcaster, corporate director, and astronaut by profession. Rideau Hall is the official residence of the Governor General of Canada. —END—

09 March 2020, Senate of Canada, Ottawa – Ambassador Petronila P. Garcia and other selected resident Heads of Missions in Ottawa served, as panelists, at the University of British Columbia Women (UBC) in House panel discussion held at the Senate of Canada on 09 March 2020.

UBC Women in House is an initiative of the UBC School of Public Policy and Global Affairs aimed at promoting a greater level of female representation in the Canadian government and around the world. From 09 to 10 March 2020, students are tasked to shadow Parliamentarians and to observe political procedures, learn about gender equity, and engage in mentorship and networking with Canadian political leaders.
