PR-10- 2025
March is National Women’s Month!
The Embassy of the Philippines in Canada joins the Philippines in observance of National Women’s Month, 1 to 31 March 2025. In pursuit of a society where all women have equal rights, power, and opportunities, this year’s sub-theme is “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas.” (Women in All Sector, Elevate Tomorrow in the New Philippines). This is the third installment of the 2023-2028 recurring National Women’s Month Celebration (NWMC) campaign banner: WE for Gender Equality and an Inclusive Society. This reinforces the core objective of RA 9710, or the Magna Carta of Women—to empower women, promote gender equality, and ensure equitable access to resources and opportunities.
The celebration not only highlights the invaluable role of women across all sectors of society and their contributions to building a progressive and inclusive future; but also the crucial role of men as allies in dismantling systemic barriers and fostering an inclusive society. Together, these efforts aim to make gender equality a reality for all women in the Bagong Pilipinas.
Through various activities and initiatives, the Embassy reaffirms its commitment to promoting gender equality and empowering women for a better tomorrow! Join us as we honor and empower women in our community through a series of meaningful activities:
