19 April 2024, Ottawa - Philippine Ambassador to Canada Maria Andrelita S. Austria, together with Tulip Restaurant’s Filipino-Canadian Executive Chef David Vinoya, guested in the first segment of Rogers TV’s Daytime Ottawa on Monday, 15 April 2024.

Philippine Ambassador Austria updated the public about the Filipino Food Month and Filipino Restaurant Month in Canada (FRMC). Ambassador Austria shared the significance of the FRMC in this year’s celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the PH-CA diplomatic relations, highlighting Filipinos and Canadians special connections through the shared love for food. Chef David featured the recipe and demonstrated how to cook Bistek Tagalog.
